If you’ve been here before, you already know I’m a big fan of beer & food pairing, especially with holiday meals.
So, needless to say, I was psyched to find this fun little interactive menu from Michigan’s MLive.com today:
Winter is the time when Michiganians like to “nest” indoors with our favorite comfort foods, to gather with family around the holiday table, to enjoy good food and drink while watching the snow fall outside.
We asked a few area chefs and beer connoisseurs what holiday and seasonal food and beer pairings they like best, for both cooking and dining. The local experts also offered a few recipe suggestions.
The interactive flash “game” has beef, chicken, fish, dessert and “other entrees” categories and each screen list six or seven dishes, what goes well with the dish (first by beer category, then a specific Michigan-brewed beer) and a few also have recommended recipes using beer to make the dish.
If my seasonal rants on what beers to drink with what food around the holiday dinner table bore you, than this fun little feature from MLive.com should lively things up for you quite nicely; enjoy!
